Oktoberfest at the Glen Cove Mansion
Dance to live music from local Biergarden favorites Eddie Forman and Josef Kroboth.  Hoist a stein (or 2)  of special Oktoberfest beers and seasonal Fall craft brews.  Sam Adams will be running contests and giving away prizes.  Families welcome. This tented event will be held rain or shine. Buy tickets here

Waterfront Recreational Facilities Open House
The city will sponsor an Open House at City Hall, allowing residents to view large-scale versions of plans for John Maccarone Memorial (City) Stadium and Park on the south-side of Glen Cove Creek. Attend the event to speak to project personnel, and offer comments and suggestions. More information about the project can be found here.

3D Pop Artist Charles Fazzino at the Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center of Nassau
Don't miss this powerful exhibit of “Heroes of the Holocaust”  featuring several new works by Charles Fazzino, including “After the Darkness”.  The  exhibition will be opened formally at a cocktail reception attended by the artist.  The reception is free and open to the public but RSVP in advance is required.

Glen Cove Fire Department Open House
The Glen Cove Volunteer Fire Department will host its Annual Fire Prevention Open House from 1 to 4 p.m. Attendees can watch several demonstrations, including rope rescue, car fire, auto extrication, kitchen stove / oven fire, fire truck rides, fire hose handling and learn about practical steps they can take to prevent fires at home.

Kids K-5 are invited to the Glen Cove Library for the Halloween Trick-or-Treat Party.  Read a book with Teen Buddies, healthy snacks, games, treat bag decoration and a special treat to take home.

Children's Halloween Costume Parade
The Glen Cove Downtown Business Improvement District will host their annual parade. The parade is intended for children 12 and younger;  accompanying adults are encouraged to get in on the dress-up fun! Line up at 1:00pm at the intersection of School Street and Highland Road in the Staples Center parking lot. After the parade, children may trick-or-treat throughout the downtown at businesses displaying the special BID “Welcome” posters. Look out for the Fun Bus and don't forget to enter the costume contest.

Glen Cove Annual Howl’oween Pet Parade
Glen Cove’s furriest residents are invited to participate in the Fifth Annual Howl’oween Pet Parade.  People and pets alike are encouraged to dress in costume and participate in several contests being held. Prizes will be awarded in six categories. Past parade entrants have included dogs, cats, guinea pigs, parrots and even a snake, with pet costumes ranging from super heroes to witches and even a horse. Registration required.
